The Project at Lark Place, Bath began with a large site clearance which included constructing a main site entrance due to its difficult location, just off of the main road going into Bath city Centre.
Having constructed access into the site we then proceeded works with a complex main sewer diversion, due to the pipe running through the middle of the site where the 5 new properties were to be constructed. The diversion comprised of 12 concrete 1200mm diameter man holes at depths ranging from 1 metre deep up to 2.5 metres deep with 55 metres of 225mm clay pipe all of which was supervised and passed by Wessex water.
Davis Groundworks then progressed onto constructing all the retaining walls, due to the slope of the site. Various construction and reinforcing methods were designed for the retaining walls ranging from piling works to standard concrete hollow blocks. Following on from the retaining walls the site team then proceeded to excavate and concrete the foundations for the 5 new dwellings and build blockwork up to damp proof course to carry the beam and block floor.
Once the site had progressed and the 5 new dwellings had been constructed Davis groundworks were then instructed to carry out the landscaping and finishing works package which included a number of variable items ranging from top-soiling, block paving, internal drainage, foul & storm drainage, site services, curb laying and all other associated works.
